A record is not the same as a release. The record is the work; a release is one published form of it, with its own files and its own content hash. The same record can have several, and Special:Releases lists them.[unverified]
Pages here are built with Template:Record. Who played on which track comes from Template:Studio cut, which writes one subobject per musician, so a player's own page can ask what they appear on.[unverified]
