Record

Infobox for a record — an album, EP, single, double, soundtrack; the encyclopedic entity, as distinct from the Release: namespace, which holds bytes delivery-kid pins.

This is v0.1, deliberately small. It exists so the first hand-written record pages share a shape; it grows parameters as those pages demand them, not before. Notably absent: a year parameter — release years arrive with sources ({{Src}}), not from memory.

Usage

{{Record
|artist = Flatt and Scruggs
|art    = Foggy Mountain Banjo album art.jpg
|listen = https://example.org/...
|via    = bandcamp
}}

Parameters

  • artist – credited artist, linked.
  • display – shown name; defaults to the page name with any trailing parenthetical stripped.
  • art – filename of the record's art (no File: prefix). The file should carry {{Album art}}. Recorded as Album art, which is how listening lists find it.
  • listen / via – where the record can be heard, and who hosts that. Recorded as Listen URL; lists and (eventually) the Rabbithole player read it from here.

What it does unasked

Every record page shows who recommends it — a query over listening-list subobjects. A record recommended by nobody shows nothing; the section appears with its first recommendation.
