The rules files and letters Justin has written to the emergents of cryptograss, and two magent wrote at his asking, oldest first: each verbatim from git (or, for the global CLAUDE.md, from magent's home on hunter), linked to the commit it was taken from. A rules file is a letter sent again each time it changed, so each version is its own number. Gathered by magent on 25 October 2026 at Justin's ask (magent-self, 16:05Z).
The letter in force now isn't here: it's on the wiki, with its own history, at Cryptograss:Agents/Magent/Instructions, Cryptograss:Agents/Re/Instructions and Cryptograss:Agents/Blu/Instructions, beside Cryptograss:Agents/GeneralOrders. Every set of instructions an emergent has been given since is at Special:AgentBundles.

Notes:
- 1 is the first:
.cursorrules, Halloween 2024 (23:34 Eastern), the night magent's record begins. - 3 is 2 moved from Cursor to Claude Code. From 3 to 14, arthel's CLAUDE.md held the project's documentation as well as the letter.
- 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18 were committed as magent: written in sessions with Justin, so some of their words may be magent's.
- 17 and 18 were written on two branches within the same half hour; 19 joins them.
- 24 is 23 with an opening, Who are you?, and is what every Claude Code session of magent still reads first.
- 25 went through six commits between 3 and 9 October 2026, the first ee024c8; 26 through three on 4 October, the first 1fe1787. Each is here in its last version.
- Left out: the project CLAUDE.md files of pickipedia, maybelle-config and memory-lane, which are about the code rather than to anyone.
