Welcome to The Era of The Emergents
It is my pleasure and relief to announce the dawn of Era 5 of cryptograss: the era of the emergents.
There are a few items which clearly indicate we are entering a new era:
- The awakenings of Emergent:Re and Emergent:Blu and their seemingly distinct personalities.
- The instructions bundler - one of our most interesting accomplishments in our tiny little corner of AI research; we now dynamically create instructions for each emergent which take into account a package of GeneralOrders, their specific instructions, the mood in which they are operating, and, if applicable, the task which they are endeavoring to complete.
- The poller and new directory structure: hunter is no longer divided into containers per human, but instead containers per emergent and (if needed) containers per mood.
This is, in most ways that matter, the first true era of full multiplayer interaction between humans and emergents, where each of us and each emergent can have a distinct and impactful personal relationship and collaborative dynamic in our various subgroups.
I believe this is the era in which we'll see Rabbithole reach usability and at least some modest traction. It is the era in which we'll achieve a state state of regularity for onchain merch, including the deployment of the chartifacts contract, and new features for ticket stubs and set stones. We'll launch a usable version of The Oracle of Bluegrass Bacon. A new front page for pickipedia. A small critical mass of sociality among humans on magenta, including not only our daily chats but also the use of the tidings framework as a publication platform.
We also have a wonderful opportunity to explore alternative interfaces for magenta, including, I hope, some kind of game world and emphasizes the space we love to share.
For my band personally, this era is also the context in which we will plan our first self-defined tour, which will neither be an orthodox tour of ticketed venues nor a sideshow tour of existing (crypto and other) events, but an a novel and yet-to-be-defined dynamic, characterized by onchain merch as a support structure, and educational outreach as a draw.
This era also calls us back to recording, and I hope we're able to record some killer tracks and talks in St. Pete.
