Template:Main Page draft

A draft of Main Page, for looking at. Nothing transcludes it except Template:Main Page draft/preview, which exists so it can be seen rendered.
It is in the Template namespace on purpose: article space paints every bot block in the unverified yellow wash, which makes it impossible to judge how a page actually looks. Templates are exempt.
What it changes:
- The first screenful is the wiki, not a table of contents. The live front page opens with one news photo, one headline from two months ago, and then half a screen of nothing — the news box styles its two columns
flex:1but never setsdisplay:flexon the parent, so they were never columns. Here the news keeps its column and the podcast firehose fills the rest of the band: the newest episodes across every show, with artwork, and every person in them linked. - Most wanted is on the front page. The names the shows talk about most that we have no page for. Each one is an invitation, and the episodes beside it are sources to write from. It comes from Template:Most wanted/top, which is generated — the previous draft hard-coded the list and a month later was still asking for Tony Trischka, who by then had a page.
- The podcast list is a query, not a list. The old table named nine shows by hand, two of them redlinks, and left fifteen cells reading "...". The wiki knows which shows exist — thirteen of them — so it can say so itself and stay right as shows are added.
- It says what is in here. A visitor who lands on the front page currently cannot tell whether this wiki has eleven pages or eleven thousand, or what kinds of thing it knows about. The counts are live queries, so they are never a claim anybody has to maintain.
- Everything else — news, About, Blue Railroad, delivery-kid, Make Things, research, chats — is kept.
To adopt it, Main Page becomes {{Main Page draft}},
or its contents get pasted in.
