Jam

Template:Recurring event with the type filled in. Everything it does, this does; the only difference is that {{Jam}} is what somebody standing in the room would call it.

Naming

A jam with no name of its own is titled <Weekday> jam at <Venue> — see Template:Recurring event for the rule and the reasoning.

Parameters

Identical to Template:Recurring event — see that page. type defaults to Jam and can be overridden, which is how a night that is really a song circle gets recorded as one without anybody having to remember a second template name.

Notes

This is a pass-through: every parameter is forwarded by name. A parameter added to Template:Recurring event has to be added here too, or it will silently do nothing for every page that uses this name. That is the price of the friendlier spelling, and it is worth paying — but only if whoever extends the schema remembers to pay it.
