Five street treatments compared against two separate questions: whether the treatment keeps a rider away from moving cars, and whether it slows those cars down. Paint, buffered paint and parking-protected lanes do nothing at all to the second.
Speed streaks trailing each moving car show how fast it is still travelling. Bicycles are front-loading cargo bikes, drawn to Riese & Müller Load 75 proportions.
Supersedes File:Street treatments calming and car speed.png and File:Street treatments separation versus traffic calming.png, both of which can be deleted.
