Overview

Water Tower plays bluegrass but crappy.

History

They started as a Foghorn Stringband tribute band in 2003. Their first name was The Panther Caps. Next they became Water Tower Bucket Boys. Soon they kicked the bucket to become Water Tower Stringband. Then back to Bucket Boys. Eventually simplifying to Water Tower in 2012 to symbolize their move to punk rock bluegrass. Their first release came in 2020. Foghorn used to call water tower "Mist Whistle", "Foghorn Junior" and "Water Babies".

The current lineup features Krenny Zeinstein on fiddle and guitar, Tommy Drinkard on Banjo, Jesse Blue Eads on second banjo, Taylor Estes on bass, and John Seltzer on mandolin. The band is often referred to as a community as they have had 47 bass players before Taylor and many musicians will join the band depending on the show.

This band loves Foghorn so much there are rumors that one of them has a tattoo of them on his buttocks.
